About this Initiative

With the emergence of specific reversal strategies for direct-acting oral anticoagulants (DOACs), it is critical for health-system pharmacists to take a leading role in ensuring that these agents are used appropriately. This educational initiative combines live and on-demand continuing education activities with podcasts and commentaries to provide pharmacists with a comprehensive patient assessment approach for determining the optimal anticoagulant reversal strategy, as well as strategies for establishing a standardized, evidence-based approach for managing the use of DOAC reversal agents within a health system.
